Frusteration Blog

Writing poems frustrates me very much. They just don't make sense to me at all. I hate reading them, but I hate writing them even more.

Henry

Henry is a wonderful person. He excels on the court, but he is even better off the court. His body is like that of a Greek god's, and his hair is beautiful. He has been dating his girlfriend Jenna for two years today. They are madly in love. He plays basketball and football. His skill is absolutely unmatched. He can block anyone, and at the same time, nobody can block him. In basketball he is a scoring machine. No matter where he is, he can find a way to put the ball in the net. He is truly a gift from God.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? (A)
Thou art more lovely and more temperate: (B)
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, (A)

And summer's lease hath all too short a date: (B)
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,(C)
And often is his gold complexion dimmed, (D)
And every fair from fair sometime declines, (C)
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimmed: (D)
But thy eternal summer shall not fade, (E)
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st, (F)
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade, (E)
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st, (F)
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, (G)
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee. (G)

Should I compare you to a beautiful summer day?
You're even more beautiful
You're not always perfect
We don't see each other enough
Your dad doesn't like us together
He seems angry a lot
He gets sad when he sees you sad
We might be able to be together
I want to be with you all the time
I never want to be away from you
I would defend you with my life
Even though it will be hard
As long as I'm  alive
I will love you no matter what

Fishing
Logan casts his line into the cool water
All alone by the side of the big lake
He doesn't want to hook on an otter
But hopefully bring home a fish to bake

Sitting all day in the scorching hot sun
Henry pays him a comforting visit
Logan was starting to not have much fun
Although he hopes to catch his limit

He could catch a bass or a small bluegill
Nothing seems to want to take a bite
Catching these fish takes a whole lot of skill
It seems like Logan will be here all night

He feels the pull on the end of the line
That fish that he caught he can call all mine

Hunting
It's late November and there's a thick layer of frost on the dead, dirty leaves
As you walk to your stand, gun in hand, you slowly move on
You settle in and wait while the woods wake up around you
As the bright sun peers through the trees
your eye catches a bit of movement on the corner of the field
The buck of a life time
It makes its way towards you
Your heart beating, palms sweating, heaving breathing wait for that perfect shot
He turns broadside to you
You slowly squeeze the trigger, and the rest is history
